愛科藥業成立于2002年9月9日，被定為海口市重點科技項目和海南省高新技術企業。已發展成為集生產、研發、銷售為一體，擁有一家現代化藥品生產企業，兩家全國性的藥品經營企業，一家藥物研究所，形成新型的藥業集團。2008年6月30日，公司新建生物工程項目總投資1.8億元。擴建項目擁有：年產1500萬支瓶裝大容量注射液生產線；年產3000萬支非PVC大容量注射液生產線；年產800萬支乳劑生產線；年產2億支外用藥生產線；年產2000萬支凍干粉針生產線。屆時海南愛科制藥有限公司將成為海南省大的大容量注射液生產企業及中國大的外用藥制造企業。
